ATLANTA – Cobb Galleria Centre, Atlanta’s premier destination for conventions, meetings, and special events, is celebrating 20 years of successful operations. Opened in January 1994, Cobb Galleria Centre was the first convention facility in the country to combine exhibition and meeting space with a retail component and hotel in what was then considered a suburban location.  Since that time, Cobb Galleria Centre has garnered both regional and national recognition.

As part of its 20th Anniversary celebration, the Centre recently unveiled a new logo, advertising campaign, web site and visual identity and recently completed a series of interior renovations and upgrades.

“What better time than our 20th Anniversary and the completion of major renovations to unveil a fresh look for our signature mark and our re-designed web site,” said Michele Swann, General Manager and CEO. “Our new contemporary logo features the venue’s signature pyramid and the redesigned website, aside from being incredibly aesthetically pleasing, is more agile, interactive and easier to navigate.”

The website, cobbgalleria.com, features reorganized and expanded content, an interactive floor plan, virtual tours, interactive maps, a dynamic events calendar, online ordering for facility services, and immediate connection to the venue’s social media channels.

From the beginning, Cobb Galleria Centre’s mission was to enhance the quality of life and provide economic benefit to the community. Since opening in 1994, Cobb Galleria Centre has had an economic impact of $1.8 billion on Cobb County and $2.6 billion on the state of Georgia. Approximately 1,100 people are employed annually by the Centre, and over 9.7 million people have attended 20,000 events.

Cobb Galleria Centre is located in the beautifully landscaped 88-acre Galleria complex in prestigious northwest Atlanta. Cobb Galleria Centre is Atlanta’s premier convention facility with 320,000 square feet of event space, four exhibition halls, 20 meeting rooms, four executive boardrooms and a grand ballroom. The Cobb-Marietta Coliseum & Exhibit Hall Authority governs Cobb Galleria Centre, Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre and Galleria Specialty Shops.
