Lead Engineer Yvens Joseph says that making guests happy is the best part of his job. His 17 years of experience working for Disney taught him this customer-centric philosophy.

“Receiving a hand-written thank you note from a customer, it means so much,” he said, reflecting on a recent moment with a show attendee when he repaired their car that had broken down in the Centre’s lot.

Joseph began working at the Cobb Galleria Centre 13 years ago, and he has been a lead engineer for the past nine years. He works the early shift, opening the building at 6 a.m. and making sure that everything in the HVAC plants is functioning correctly. “My main job is making sure everyone in the building is safe,” he said. Joseph is also responsible for show floor utility installations.

Joseph, a native of Haiti, has degrees in electrical and HVAC systems. When he is not at work, his passion is working on cars, saying his favorite brand is Audi. Joseph and his wife live in Newton County, and he’s especially proud of his four adult children, all of whom have earned college degrees with one in his last year of medical school.
