Cobb Galleria Centre is a carefully curated event venue managed by a team of event planning professionals. Owned and operated by the Cobb-Marietta Coliseum & Exhibit Hall Authority, Cobb Galleria Centre is made up of people who love turning dream events into reality.

About the Authority

The Cobb-Marietta Coliseum & Exhibit Hall Authority owns and operates the Cobb Galleria Centre. Governed by seven members, appointed to seven posts, the Authority also owns and operates our sister properties, including Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre, ArtsBridge Foundation, and Galleria Specialty Shops.

The Authority is a body corporate and politic created by the Georgia General Assembly in 1980 for the purpose of acquiring, constructing and maintaining facilities for the general purpose of promoting cultural growth, education and welfare.

Authority Board Members

The Mayor of the City of Marietta serves during his tenure.

The Mayor of the City of Smyrna serves during his tenure.

Robert P. Voyles, Vice Chairman

Appointed by the Cobb County Board of Commissioners for a four-year term.

Post 4

Joseph B. Atkins

Appointed by the Cobb County Board of Parks and Recreation for a four-year term. Must be a resident of Cobb County.

Lisa Cupid

The Chairwoman of the Board of Commissioners of Cobb County serves during her tenure.

Post 6

Jerry Nix, Chairman

Appointed by a majority vote of the other five members for terms of four years, and at least one of the members representing Post 6 and Post 7 is required to be a resident of Cobb County.

Post 7

Connie Engel, Secretary

Appointed by a majority vote of the other five members for terms of four years, and at least one of the members representing Post 6 and Post 7 is required to be a resident of Cobb County.

The Authority meets bi-monthly on the fourth Wednesday at 9:30 am. Scheduled meetings are posted on the Meeting Dates page once confirmed.
