Cobb Parkway Pedestrian Bridge Detour

The Cobb County Department of Transportation is installing a detour for pedestrians looking to cross Cobb Parkway at Cumberland Mall and the Cobb Galleria Centre. The Cobb Parkway pedestrian bridge is undergoing renovations and will be closed for pedestrian access.

  • Bridge closure began March 24, 2025.
  • Traveling from the Cobb Galleria Center to the Sheraton: Pedestrians leaving the Cobb Galleria Centre area need to follow the sidewalk along Cobb Parkway to the Akers Mill intersection, cross Cobb Parkway, and then proceed down the sidewalk back towards Cumberland Mall and then to the Sheraton.
  • Traveling from the Sheraton to the Cobb Galleria Centre: Pedestrians leaving the Sheraton need to proceed to the sidewalk path along Cobb Parkway towards Akers Mill Road. From there, they will cross Cobb Parkway and follow the detour along the sidewalk back towards the Cobb Galleria Centre.
  • Detour signs will be posted along the path to help direct pedestrians. Please follow signage guides.
