ATLANTA – The Cobb-Marietta Coliseum & Exhibit Hall Authority is pleased to announce the promotion of Larry Green to the position of Director of Venue Operations for the Cobb Galleria Centre, Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre, and Galleria Specialty Shops. Green, a 16-year veteran of the organization, was most recently the Director of Safety and Security for the Authority. In his new role, Green will be responsible for overseeing the Public Safety/Security, Engineering, Event Services, Housekeeping, and Set Up departments throughout the Authority campus.

“Over the course of the last 16 years, Larry has played a pivotal role in the transformation of our security and life safety operations. He has tirelessly supported not only his departmental colleagues but also all members of the Authority’s staff, embodying our ‘One Team, One Company’ philosophy,” said Michele Swann, General Manager & CEO of the Cobb-Marietta Coliseum & Exhibit Hall Authority.

Green joined the organization in 2007 as the Public Safety Manager for the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre. Green retired in 2003 as a sergeant after 18 years with the Orange County Sheriff’s Department in Orlando. Fla. Following his retirement, Green provided personal security for A-list entertainers and dignitaries. He previously served four years in the Air Force as a Law Enforcement/Security Specialist.
