Cocktail of the Month: Red Eye
By: Kirsten Gleaves
September is here and in the Deep South, that means football! Since we all know tailgating can start pretty early, next time try serving a Red Eye instead of a Bloody Mary.
Here’s what you will need:
Celery Salt
Pale Lager
Bloody Mary Mix
Wedge of Lime
Celery Stick
Rim a tall glass with celery salt, carefully pour in a pale lager, such as a Rolling Rock, and top with 2 ounces of your favorite Bloody Mary mix (I like Zing Zang). Squeeze in a lime wedge and stir with a celery stick.
Serve with your favorite cheese straws while the grill is firing up.
