Lynn Flanders, the Assistant General Manager of the Cobb-Marietta Coliseum and Exhibit Hall Authority, was recently honored at the Tribute to Women of Achievement dinner benefiting liveSafe resources.

Flanders is responsible for daily operations of the Cobb Galleria Centre, Cobb Energy Centre and Galleria Specialty Shops. Prior to entering the convention industry, she was a practicing certified public accountant and served in various financial management capacities from auditor to chief financial officer. She received a degree in accounting from Mercer University.

Flanders is a community volunteer and has served on numerous nonprofit boards and finance committees such as the Girl Scouts, the American Society of Women Accountants, the Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants, and International Association of Venue Managers. She is currently the treasurer of the Best Friends Animal Society and former treasurer of the Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund International. Lynn is a native of Atlanta and resides in Alpharetta with her husband, Doug. She is the proud mother of Morgan.

The Academy of Women Leaders created the Tribute to Women of Achievement event to honor women who exemplify the qualities of leadership, achievement, dedication and generosity. To date, over 300 female community leaders in the area have been honored with this award. Authority member Tricia Pridemore and her husband, Mike, were co-chairs for the event.
