The Only NFL-Sanctioned Event in Cobb County

ATLANTA – Taste of the NFL, a premier sanctioned NFL organization dedicated to ending hunger in the United States, will hold the 27th Annual Party with a Purpose® on Super Bowl Eve, Saturday, February 2, at Cobb Galleria Centre.

The star-studded Party with a Purpose® celebrates two of America’s favorite past times—food and football—pairing NFL stars from all 32 teams (current, Hall of Fame and alumni players) with extraordinary chefs from across the country as they prepare more than 45,000 tastings to support hunger relief. It is attended by nearly 3,000 guests each year. The event includes both a silent and live auction of coveted memorabilia and gifts from the NFL and celebrity supporters. As the single-most successful NFL sanctioned charitable event at the Super Bowl, all 100 percent of proceeds raised at the event (and during the season-long Kick Hunger Challenge) go directly back to each team’s hometown community, supporting food banks and food pantries in all 32 cities. To date, the organization has raised over $25 million, which has provided over 200 million meals for Americans.

This year’s celebrity ambassadors are Jeff Bridges, Alyssa Milano and Bobby Flay. Entertainment for the evening will be provided by award-winning country superstar, Martina McBride. Nicholas Walker, Culinary Director and Executive Chef at Cobb Galleria Centre and Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre, will participate in the tasting alongside the celebrity chefs and NFL stars. Chef Walker will serve sample plates of his roasted pork shoulder with sweet potato molasses BBQ sauce and spiced crisped corn.
