With the tallest building in Cobb County set to open later this year on the other side of the pedestrian bridge from Cobb Galleria Centre, the business and entertainment district keeps growing at The Battery Atlanta.

Thyssenkrupp Elevator has completed construction on the exterior of its 420-foot-tall Innovation and Qualification Center, which will be home to the tallest elevator test tower in the Western Hemisphere. The three-building headquarters is on track for completion this year.

Another major corporate headquarters has also landed at The Battery. Papa John’s International Inc. will move its new, 60,000-square-foot corporate office to the Battery this summer. More towers are also in the works, including a 19-story, 700-unit apartment tower; a 22-story, 300-unit hotel; and an 18-story, 400,000 square-foot office tower. The new construction will also include 16,500 square feet of ground-level retail.

Add the Aloft Atlanta at The Battery Atlanta to the “now open” list. The 142-room hotel joins the Omni Hotel to round out the current guest room package at the Battery.
