Monday, February 1: Kick off American Heart Month with fellow business professionals as Dr. Williams Cooper, Medical Director of Cardiac Surgery at Wellstar Health System, discusses the many advances in cardiac care being introduced here in Cobb at the Cobb Chamber’s First Monday Breakfast. Sit in as the Cobb Chamber salutes the 2015 Honorary Commanders, a program that is at the heart of their military support. Attendees are encouraged to arrive at 7 a.m. for dedicated networking before the event.

Friday, February 5 – Sunday, February 7: Magic the Gathering players will bring their top draft strategies as the 2015-2016 Premiere Play season continues with the Pro Tour Oath of the Gatewatch! Players will also be prepared to bring their best Modern Constructed deck tech as they aim for the lion’s share of a $250,000 prize pool. The winner is guaranteed a seat in the 2016 World Championship and Platinum status in the Pro Tour Players Club! This event is open each day from 8 a.m. – 8 p.m.

Saturday, February 6: The Georgia Chess Association is hosting their 2016 Metro Atlanta Kindergarten – 8th Grade State Qualifier! All elementary and middle school children will have the chance to participate in a four round, individually paired Swiss System tournament with a time control of 25 minutes per player with a five second time delay. Players are encouraged to arrive early to have any first round issues reported before round one paring begins. This event begins at 9:30 a.m.
