Akers Mill Ramp to Provide Direct Access to Express Lanes

The Akers Mill Ramp, a 24-foot-wide reversible ramp that will provide direct access to/from the Northwest Corridor Express Lane system, has been funded and is officially scheduled for construction.

The new ramp, set to open in 2023, is just three blocks from Cobb Galleria Centre at Interstate 75. The ramp will substantially improve regional mobility from the Galleria area and provide direct access from the Galleria to the Northwest Express Lanes. The express lanes, which opened in 2018, are 29.7 miles of reversible toll lanes on I-75 and I-575.
