For the 22nd consecutive year, the Cobb-Marietta Coliseum and Exhibit Hall Authority has been awarded the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting by the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada (GFOA).

The Authority, which governs Cobb Galleria Centre, Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre ArtsBridge. Foundation and Galleria Specialty Shops, won the award for its comprehensive annual financial report. According to GFOA, the Certificate of Achievement is the highest form of recognition in the area of governmental accounting and financial reporting, and its attainment represents a significant accomplishment by a government and its management.

The CAFR has been judged by impartial panel to meet the high standards of the program including demonstrating a constructive “spirit of full disclosure” to clearly communicate its financial story and motivate potential users and user groups to read the CAFR.

The GFOA is a major professional association serving approximately 19,000 appointed and elected local, state and provincial-level government officials and other finance practitioners. GFOA is headquartered in Chicago with offices in Washington, D.C.
