The Brawlhalla World Championships, held Nov. 4-6, 2022, was the first major international esports tournament hosted at the Cobb Galleria Centre since before the pandemic.

Brawlhalla is a free-to-play fighting game developed by Blue Mammoth Games and available on most gaming platforms. The world championships, called BCX, was the biggest Brawlhalla tournament to date with 600 gamers competing for a $500,000 prize pool and included a full EXPO celebrating the community and game. It was live streamed online to tens of thousands of fans.
The weekend of gaming also had a big impact on the community, with thousands in attendance and more than 1,000 hotel room nights booked.

“Cobb Galleria has been our preferred venue for over a decade – amazing amenities, staff and community,” said Nabil Ismail, co-founder and president of Skillshot Media, the esports production company behind the event.

Esports is a growing market segment for the Centre. The large variety of events spaces (exhibit hall, ballroom, and meeting rooms), along with the connection to the Renaissance Atlanta Waverly Hotel, make it an ideal venue for esports events.

The Brawlhalla World Championships return to the Cobb Galleria Centre Nov. 4-5. For more information, visit bcx.live.
